Mayan Tree
Murals of Baltimore was contracted by Artcorps and a Presidential Commission of Guatemala to work in the area of Lago Atitlan for one year creating a series of public art pieces. The small town of San Pablo La Laguna was the center piece of this residency. MoB designed a series of murals based on the Mayan Tree of Life and decorate 30% of the town walls with geometric designs. The murals can be discovered throughout the town and in the small back streets of the town.
MoB worked with local NGOs and community leaders to create the murals and today many festivals are held in the main square where the focal point of the murals are.
The mural is located in San Pable La Laguna near Lago Atitlan in Guatemala.
