CSX Bridge
Murals of Baltimore was contracted by the Concerned Citizens for a Better Brooklyn to paint a mural on a CSX Railroad Bridge. This was the first mural of its kind on a steel bridge. Murals of Baltimore worked closely with CSX Transportation and Concerned Citizens for a Better Brooklyn Neighborhood Association to create the mural. The studio used an A/B system of paints called Aliphatic Urethane which was applied to the steel bridge. The mural represents the working class of the neighborhood that worked on the docks and coal docks of Baltimore and lived in the neighborhood of Brooklyn. The ornate Water Tower, local churches and libraries can be seen in the mural with the Patapsco River opening up to the Chesapeake Bay.
The mural is located on Hanover Street in Brooklyn in Baltimore.
