Roosevelt High School Mural Restoration

Murals of Baltimore and Mr. Michael Kirby was contracted by SmootGilbane and Department of Public Works to restore the fresco murals by Nelson Rosenberg in Roosevelt High School in Washington DC. The titles of the murals are “Adolescent America” and “American Panorama.” Murals of Baltimore used a fresco technique of stucato to remove the murals to the studio for restoration. After restoration was complete, the murals were reinstalled in the Roosevelt High School Lobby.

The Roosevelt High School Murals can now be found in Theodore Roosevelt High School on 4301 13th St. NW, in Washington DC.
