Artcorps Workshops

Murals of Baltimore and Mr. Michael Kirby was contracted by Artcorps and a Presidential Commission of Guatemala to work in the area of Lago Atitlan for one year creating a series of public art pieces and workshops for local residence. The small towns of San Pablo La Laguna, San Pedro La Laguna, and San Marco La Laguna was the center piece of this residency. Mr. Kirby held classes and workshops for students of all backgrounds during the residency introducing oil painting, chalk art, mural painting, pastels and prop building. Mr. Kirby worked with established artists of the area and children from local communities. 

Mr. Kirby worked with local NGOs and community leaders to create the workshops in local libraries, museums and community buildings
