Santa Barbara Madonnari Festival

Santa Barbara Madonnari Festival is the oldest Madonnari Festival in the United States. Mr. Michael Kirby participated in the festival by just showing up in 1990’s after working as a Madonnaro in Europe. Mr. Kirby has created numerous 3D chalk drawings and 3D street paintings throughout California. Mr. Kirby was the first Madonnaro or Street Painter to create 3D chalk drawings or 3D Street Paintings in California.

Mr. Kirby traveled throughout California in 1999 and introduced 3D street painting to numerous artists in various street painting festivals. Many California artists copied his techniques for 3D Street Painting.
