Takoma Underground
Murals of Baltimore was contracted by the City of Takoma Park to create a mural on the side of a retaining wall along Conway and Prince George’s Ave. The mural depicts the children of Takoma Park in an underground world of fantasy, dragons and creatures. All of the roots in the mural line up with a tree or bush that are planted above the mural in the homes. The mural is meant to depict the secret underground basements of the homes above. Children of all ages play with dragons, lightening bugs and other small animals. The mural can be seen from New Hampshire Ave facing East. Commuters coming to and from Washington DC can view the mural along New Hampshire Ave.
