Hopkins
Murals of Baltimore has been contracted by the Butchers Hill Neighborhood Association in Baltimore over the years to create a series of historical 3D murals. This mural represents the many alumni and employees of Johns Hopkins Hospital and University. Many of the residents of Butchers Hill are Hopkins employees and this mural is a dedication to their service. The first panel of the mural depicts the Hopkins dome with the founders of the Hospital: Johns Hopkins, Mary Elizabeth Garrett and John Shaw Billings. The mural is not complete and is in search of funding to complete the remain panels.
Murals of Baltimore used various painting techniques to represent the Hopkins Hospital. MoB designed the mural to show an impressionistic Dome and the scene that has realistic painted figures reclining in a bar scene that matches the front of the building.
The mural is located at 2031 East Fairmount Ave. in Butchers Hill of Baltimore.
